AWS Partner Select Tier Services
The Starting Signal for the Cloud Future at eggs unimedia
About Developments, Achievements, and a Look into the Future
In this interview, Sven and Simon, the leads of the new AWS business unit “AWS Kickstarter” at eggs unimedia, talk about the recently achieved AWS Partner status “Partner Select Tier Services.” With more than a decade of accumulated AWS expertise, a clear strategy since 2025, and strong support from the Accelerator Program at TD Synnex, a new chapter is beginning at eggs. We offer an open look behind the scenes.
Sven: Simon, this week we officially achieved the AWS Partner Select Tier Services status. How does this milestone feel for you?
Simon: For me, it’s an important milestone. It means that we are now officially part of the AWS network, and it opens doors to additional resources, funding programs, and stronger market positioning. After more than ten years of AWS expertise gained through customer projects, this is a true starting point for strategically advancing our cloud capabilities.
Simon: Sven, you’ve been with eggs since May 2025 and were brought in specifically to consolidate the AWS business. What does the partner status mean for you in your daily sales work?
Sven: Exactly. A lot has already happened at eggs in the area of cloud infrastructure over the past years. I’m here to bring together existing services such as modernization, migration, and cloud infrastructure, and to identify new business opportunities. With the partner status, we can now show our customers even more clearly: we are not only experienced, we are certified. This builds trust and opens up new funding possibilities.
Sven: Simon, looking back, what were the biggest challenges on the way to achieving the partner status?
Simon: One major challenge was systematically documenting our long-standing experience in modernization and migrations and backing it up with AWS certifications. At the same time, we sharpened our strategic focus for 2025 with the AWS Kickstarter. We are bundling competencies, defining offerings, and preparing to structurally embed the cloud business at eggs.
Simon: You mentioned the accelerator program at TD Synnex that we have been part of since June. How has it specifically helped us move forward?
Sven: The program has been a real booster. We received technical support, gained access to AWS funding initiatives, and benefited from valuable marketing insights and best practices. We are now achieving a clear market positioning much faster. Many thanks to TD Synnex—their support has been incredibly important for us.
Sven: Simon, you’ve already mentioned that the partner status isn’t an endpoint. Where is the journey with the AWS Kickstarter heading?
Simon: Definitely not an endpoint. We are building on this partner status. Our goals for the coming months include reaching the next competency level, integrating industry-relevant topics like GenAI and Sovereign Cloud, and strengthening the connection with our AEM business. Additionally, we’re working internally on AWS-based solutions such as a coding assistant on Q Developer, a customizable RAG platform, object processing and tagging in the cloud, as well as AEM monitoring solutions.
From Milestone to New Beginnings
Achieving the AWS Partner Select Tier Services status has given us a strong boost. After more than ten years of AWS practice, with a clear focus since 2025 and thanks to external support from TD Synnex, the motto now is: Think ahead, keep evolving, and grow together.
